Tom DeLuca has always been fascinated by the imagination and how valuable a tool it can be for changing behavior.
As he completed his graduate studies in psychology, Tom began his hypnosis career helping people with smoking cessation, weight loss, and phobias. While working as a therapist he began performing before local civic groups, honing his skills as a stage performer throughout the mid-west. He gained national prominence performing for colleges and business groups. He went on to present his performance and workshop at several hundred of the top corporations and associations.
What is it about Tom’s hypnosis performance that makes it such a special event for businesses and associations world-wide? He gets accolades for the way it shows the fun and creative side of peers; and then there is the way the show highlights the personality and shared culture of the group in the most interactive humorous way imaginable.
“Attendees’ reactions of interest and intrigue to Tom DeLuca’s presentation and performance at Expo! Expo! was unlike any I have seen, and the conversations continued long after the conclusion of the meeting.”
– Steven Hacker, CAE, IAEE President
Tom’s intense touring schedule and its side effect, lack of sleep, led to the development of an innovative way of resting and recharging in 20 minutes. Using this technique, Tom brought change to the American work place by teaching businesses professionals how to take quick naps at work (featured on Dateline NBC, PBSHealth Week, The Wall Street Journal . . .), enabling American workers to increase productivity. He trademarked the phrase Power Napping® which is now part of the global lexicon. Tom’s current Imagination! Workshop teaches you how to give yourself suggestions on an internal level. Participants get a relaxing break from the noise and clutter that encroach throughout the day, and learn how to exert more influence over their behavior on a subconscious level with self-designed suggestions. The benefits of Power Napping — deep relaxation and stress relief— remain powerful components of his Imagination! Workshop.
“Renowned for his work in hypnosis, he teaches a mental technology to let go, allowing people to fall into a refreshing sleep for about 20 minutes without having to fall into the REM cycle.”
